Holiday Highlights

it's been a crazy month considering
i gave birth, had a birthday, and celebrated christmas.
not to mention, life has gotten a little bit more crazy since
guitar hero found its way into our house.
it's pretty pathetic how me and the husband wait for an
opportune time to play, passing the baby back and forth
in between songs like a little football.
she's a good sport.

Here's a glimpse into our holiday season...

decorating the tree
jack untangling the lights... sort of.
ava getting the ornaments ready.
star power.

christmas card pics
my amazing children.
my amazing children wrestling in between takes.

the matching outfit pics

temple lights
all bundled up... and yes, it really was cold.
taking in the fantastic sights.
ava strutting her stuff.
jack so proud of paper which happens to be the
family proclamation... in spanish.

christmas eve
making cookies for santa while swapping some spit frosting... yum.

the nativity.
the shepherd.
the angel.
and baby jesus... played by a girl in a pink blanket.

christmas morning
not quite awake yet after being woken up at 8:45am
on christmas morning.
enjoying the moment.
so mesmerized.
the classic run and slide on the floor,
hair blowing and all.
me, trying to organized stuff already.

eden pics
the yawn.
"bugsy"
(yes, her eyes are really that big).
sweet baby girl.
the end.

a little something for everyone

a sweet little doll for ava.

a vintage apron for me.

and a marshmallow blow gun for jack and jason.

oh yaa...  lets not forget about the tired little shopper snoozing
away on her nana's shoulder.

I went to a boutique with mom and sister
 this past weekend and these
were the items that I just couldn't pass up
Usually, I just find cheesy homemade stuff that you
would find in your grandma's house but not this time.
Instead, everybody got a little something.

And then there were three...

I just have to say that
I am so lucky to have been blessed with three beautiful children.
I don't think life gets any better than this.

It's been a while...

since my poor running shoes have really been used the way
 they were meant to be.
I know I have neglected you these
past couple of months, dear shoes, but I promise
we will be back on the streets in no time.
No more stair climber or what seems to be a leisurely walk on the treadmill.
**I can hardly wait.

projects and nesting

With 3 weeks left and counting (and hopefully less)
the projects are piling up. I guess you could say I am keeping the husband busy.
Here's the list:

1. Moving the kids rooms downstairs.
This includes painting, wainscoating, new baseboard, and new flooring.

2. Moving Jason's office upstairs...away from TOYS!
3. Cleaning out rooms and moving furniture.

4. Finishing painting baseboard upstairs from 2 years ago.

5. My everyday chores:  laundry, cleaning up toys, dishes, doing my office stuff...yikes.

6. Start and finish Christmas shopping.

7. Organize nursery after I move out Ava's stuff.

8. Make my office more suitable for me.

9.  Remind my husband how much I love him.

10.  For heavens sake, have this baby and decide on a name... poor girl.

**these are just to name a few.
