birthday #1

eden turned the big 1.

she did it in style, i might add.

no clothes, a diaper, and a party hat.

what else do you need when you're one.

besides a cake to shove your hands and face in.

thanksgiving morning turkey trot

we are thankful for our bodies.

ava: 2 laps

jack: 4 laps

jason: 6 laps

me: 8 laps

eden: watched a total of 20 laps

while chowing down own fish crackers.

it was a refreshing start to a thanksgiving day.

what is love...

...i'll tell you what love is.

love is when your sweet husband joins you for a midnight showing of a romantic vampire movie

along with a couple hundred teeny boppers screaming "team jacob" and wearing

homemade twilight shirts.

did i mention it was a sequel and he had never seen the first one so he was also completely lost through the entire thing.

normally, i would not have gone to the premiere showing of this type of movie but thanks to an early birthday present from my thoughtful parents there i was,  sitting next to my best friend in the whole world at 12:01 am in a dark theater watching vampires on the big screen.

and, yes, it was way better than the first one.

it was soooo cold this morning.

so cold that ava ate breakfast in her hoodie.

jack is peter pan, if you were wondering.

apparently, everyone thought he was robin hood.

he didn't like that too much.

jack and bailee.

our trick or treating transportation.

let the sorting begin.

my favorite thing to do when i got home from trick-or-treating was sorting all my candy

and then the trading would come into play.

my brother and i would spend hours analyzing our candy and trading back and forth.

jack is really into that too.

i think we are a lot alike.

halloween treats

i'm feeling very halloweenish.

 today has been a very "fallish" day with gloomy skies.

even the morning air was crisp and cold.

and the trees have been blowing all day long.

i just want to trap myself in my kitchen and go to town on making festive treats.

and then thanksgiving... and then my birthday... and then christmas... and then new year's...
